June 2008 my sister received a call from this company as well as my parents whom my mother is ill .. they were very upset basically saying there's a warrant for my arrest .. when i called the number back spoke with David c. is all he would give me.. educated on my circumstances and he said that he didn't care and if didn't give him $1000. over phone would have a warrant served..
May 2008 I received a call from Mark Durham, from the law office of Pat Corbett. I was listed as a secondary contact for my friend. I passed on the message to my friend and she looked this up and found out they are scammers. The number he gave me to have my friend call was 1(800)841-7793. When she tried to call, it said there was a block from our area code this sent a red flag to her.
This is regarding Patrick Corbett/Southern Tier Agency. They have the same telephone number as Lenahan, the one ending in -3838. I spoke with someone named "Mr. Dunbar" This was regarding a bad check I presented to Verizon in July of 2001. Coincidentally this account had previously been with Douglas R. Burgess-- yeah right! When I looked at who presented the check, the name was Patrick Corbett/Southern Tier Agency. I called 716-681-3838 and the greeting was "Law Offices of Patrick Corbett." After looking on budhibbs.com I found the number to be the same as Lenahan. Patrick Corbett is a part of the former Lenahan operation that Bud Hibbs help send into bankruptcy and lose his and his daughter’s law license. I think everyone should go after Patrick Corbett’s law license like they did with Lenahan so that he can suffer a bankruptcy and the loss of his law license.

Patrick Corbett is a scum bag, file as many complaints as possible because he knows they are breaking the law using his name and law office.
2008 I received a message today from
"Jeff Basil, Investigator," who claimed that several
attempts have been made to serve as Summons at my residence,
but either no one was home at the time or the residence was
unoccupied.
His message further went on to state that one final attempt
would be made to serve the Summons within the next
twenty-four to forty-eight hours, and if they were not able
to serve it, it was then my responsibility to contact the
Attorney (Patrick M. Corbett) and obtain more information
and the Court date.
So I took his advice and want to share the contact
information found on Attorney Patrick M. Corbett so anyone
he is suing (like me) can call him at anytime:

2007 I have been receiving phone calls from this office. Two of their associates (Investigator Tom Wagner and Investigator Rodgers) told me on the first phone call that if I didn't send 2500.00 they would have me arrested for theft of services and attempting to commit fraud. They also said that the only way that they can receive payment is through valid checking information. The second call they said that if I didn't pay 1000.00 with one hour of their phone call that the would have me arrested and would persecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The third time that they called they told me that I need to pay $500.00 on Oct 26,2007 and 500.00 on Nov 2, 2007 or I will be picked with in an hour if they didn't receive the money. I really couldn't tell if he was telling the truth or not so I did give him the info to my prepaid debt card. This has really stressed me out, I really want to know is there any way that I can sue his office for pain and suffering that has been caused since I started receiving his calls? Also, what should I do if the calls persists, cause the normally call from a restricted number but I was lucky enough to get his 1-800-795-0831 number from one of his employees. Wow! If you had left an email address, we could have helped.
2007 I have received a blank fax from these people in regards to a debt that is about 6 years old. I have just checked the SOL in NC (thanks to you) and found that it is 3 years for an open account or written contract. The guy who called was named Gerald Stone, who I researched and can pretty much be assured that he is using his grandfathers name.
With all of the research that I do, I find it hard to
believe that I can't find out weather Patrick Corbett is
able
to practice law in my State. Or does that matter at all
since he is able to practice in NY. Which by the way has a 6
year SOL.
2007 These people called and told me they were with the County D.A.'s office, that they were with the sheriff's office, that they would "come to my house and break down the door", have called my neighbors, my daughter-in-law's parents and brother and son, threatened to file "court orders" if I didn't call back by 5 pm. This is for a supposed debt that is past the statute of limitations and was written off by the original owner.
2007 I found your website by attempting to research Attorney Patrick Corbett. I got home this evening with a message on my recorder to contact his office regarding a possible fraud investigation against my brother who had listed me as a reference to obtain a loan. Your website is that only information I can find, so far, and an “Attorney Patrick Corbett,” but the accent sounds like a northern accent. The assistant on the message stated that I have 24 hours to “voluntarily” contact them, before a summons to court is issued. I realize that this is a scare tactic to pressure me into contacting them as soon as possible. I also realize that there are other ways of obtaining information than going through the trouble of serving a subpoena. After reading your information, I realize how desperate these collectors must be and decoded to tape all future calls with them. Thanks for the wealth of information you provide, they won't be making any money off this account.
