September 2008 Let me give you a perspective from the other side. The side of the collector of many years. Firstsource has turned into a joke of company. It is managed and I use that term loosely, by a group of Indians who have no knowledge of the industry, no knowledge of American work culture or how to treat employees. My supervisor violates more laws than anybody around me and her manager turns his back or seems too busy to care. They must be grasping at straws to determine why they are losing money, clients and employees. That's all we hear from our managers. The area that will continue to suffer is compliance to FDCPA which they try to skirt around at ever opportunity. Firstsource is a shell (a cracked shell) of what it once was.

It shames me to admit that I was
once a FirstSource Advantage employee. I can honestly say
that I was not like the other collectors. I was kind and
respectful to anyone that I spoke to. I was raised with
manners. But let me tell you about how Firstsource Advantage
is...
They are a bunch of lying, manipulative, cold-hearted son of
a bitches that you will EVER meet in your entire life. The
only way that you can ever advance in that place is by
laying on your back with your legs wide open or on your
knees with your mouth open-wide. There is no integrity or
honesty in that place! There's no kindness or morality; just
the idea of how much money can they stick in their pocket.
Have you ever driven by and seen some of the nice cars in
the parking lot?? Gee I wonder how many people had to be
****** over for that to happen? I feel sorry for the good
people that are stuck in that hell hole!! I regret the day
that I ever started working there and am glad that I was
able to find something better.
June 2008 Actually the name of the company is Firstsource Advantage llc, not solutions. and they are a horrible agency to work for since the "Tony's" left. Guess it just goes to show that even such "family oriented" people sell off their "homegrown" companies for a price. I worked for this company for over 6 years and can easily say that I do not miss it one bit. ha ha suckers. (Actually their copyrighted name is Firstsource Solutions Ltd)
June 2008 "Account Solutions Group LLC" needs to now read "Firstsource Solutions LLC" - they changed their name well over a year ago and should be on your watch list. Arjun Mitra (previous CFO from India) is now the Director of Operations (was Lance Della Mea).
April 2008 account services group and account solution group maybe the same but based in Tonawanda new York not in Amherst as account solution group the phone number is 1-716-213-5249 which is in Tonawanda. they are being a pest now no answers when picked up and when they do answer they give a name not known to us or could be made up.

I have been dealing with a gentleman
(and I use the term loosely) named Matt, who is nice at
first, but when he does not get his way, such as not
allowing him access to your bank account to withdraw
payments or not allowing him to put checks on file, he
becomes very mean. I missed a payment by one day and he was
calling me at least 7 times a day demanding to know where my
payment was. And he is not happy that I am making 4 weekly
payments of $25 for a total of $100 a month. In his words,
"your kids can go without food for a night, I'm the only
important person in your life, I want MY money NOW!"
And ladies, I feel especially sorry for you, as he is
EXTREMELY rude and mean to my wife, but whenever I deal with
him, for the most part, it is like we are old drinking
buddies.
2007 Firstsource Advantage Apparently Account Solutions Group has been acquired...it's now FirstSource Advantage and still a collection agency, I guess... I called back to tell them that they had a wrong number in their database but they wouldn't make the change without me telling them my number, even though I gave them the case number they left in my voice mail... Anyone who calls an 800, 866, 877, 888 or 900 number gets their telephone number displayed on the receiver caller ID, even if you normally block your number from being sent, so they knew what my number was... the irony is, I don't have any credit problems
2007 I got a call from these folks. The foreign employee left a message on my machine stating this call is for ..., if this is not... do not listen to this message. They also called a relative and left the same message. They called three weeks ago and I just got the letter stating that the account has been listed with them. In such a short time there are already two FDCPA violations, so for those who believe otherwise, BUD is correct about ASG.
2007 I called to set up a payment plan. The guy talked down to me because I stay at home with my children. Then he threatened to garnish my husbands wages and he told me that I was a crook because I am the type of person to open a bunch of accounts, don't pay them, then file bankruptcy. I hung up on him and immediately printed out a cease calling letter to them. Don't fall for any of their bull!
