It may interest you to know that DeJanna and Associates is now AMERIQUEST RECOVERY SERVICES. When I went to the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce Website to pull up their info, it gave a link instead to ARS Heating and Air conditioning Service (Obviously not who I was looking for) AmeriQuest Recovery Services unfortunately still have me in their greedy hands because I am terrified of them getting a judgment against me. I called (the same people still work there, incidentally) to try to have my $250 monthly payment reduced due to hardship and the fact that I have been playing by their rules, but they are having none of that, and I was unsuccessful. I was told that the rep "fought" to keep my payments as low as they could possibly go, that they were "required" to collect $1000 every 4 months from me, or I would be sued. What can I do--anything???
To begin, because I read what Bud Hibbs had to report about Richard DeJana "Law" Office, so I wasn't scared by their tactics. Thank you Bud!!! Pretty straight forward phone call, the basic "You seem like a good guy, we just want to help you". The odd thing here was that they gave me a lot of information...almost too much information about how collections really work (you signed an agreement, you're not going to jail). But in the end, their true colors came out. The insisted that I get a relative on a 3-way phone call with them to promise to help pay my outstanding debt. They called back a month later and I just ignored them. They've since probably sold the debt off to another bottom feeder. When you get a call from a "Law Office", it can be pretty intimidating. Thank goodness for all of the resources on Bud Hibbs' website!
