May 2008 Before I was sued it was over a
three years period this has been going on. I can't tell you
the details because it covers about 20 pages. BIG#5 is
probably only here in Texas, and the lawyer maybe part of
the problem but Michael Slotky CEO is the BIG CHEESE and a
very large RAT. (Really Awful Tyrant or BIG RAT) There was
no truth in his Affidavit. These people need to be
investigated at your State AG office and in TX debt
collector must have a surety bond. Then nationwide a class
action is needed. I understand a trigger level of 150 to 250
complaints at the State or the Federal jurisdiction is
necessary for them to act. Here is a tiny part of 20 pages.
Thus, a Debt Buyer could also be a Debt Collector. Since
this is not a perfect world there are the GOOD, the BAD and
the Ugly Debt Collector. The Bad may not always have the
surety bond. But the Ugly hardly ever has a surety bond and
almost always operates outside the Law, knowing it’s illegal
to sue on time barred debts and makes a practice of
fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading representations. Such
an Ugly animal can be very dangerous. Particularly if the
BIG CHEESE is a BIG RAT. Now you know why I wrote. What is
the number of names on file?
April 2008 This company harassed me twice a day, every day, 7 days a week for over 2 years! I guess it was wrong of me to think they would understand when I told them I had a nervous breakdown. To them that meant I was prime game for their bully tactics. As if that wasn't enough, they took me to court. Their lawyer lied in court! I had asked him for the information on the account to prove it was my debt. He had said he would get it for me, but never did. When I told this to the judge the judge asked him point blank if that was true. The lawyer hesitated and the judge said he was in violation of something if he did indeed promise me that, and the lawyer said he never said it! Of course the judge is going to believe a lawyer over some crazy woman! Somehow, they managed to win a judgment over twice the original amount! Someone needs to do something about this company!
I recently had been contacted by this company for a CHASE account that I never had. Yes, I did have an account once with CHASE but that debt has been paid off for sometime now. They claimed that I owed $1,332 on this account that they had received from CHASE for collection. I called CHASE to confirm any and all accounts that I may have had with them and the numbers did not match. The one and only account that I did have with CHASE had been forwarded to a different agency for collection (NAFS) and that debt was paid in full. I made sure not to give them any account numbers and or banking accounts. Good thing Bud is on top of these guys. Any time that a person may admit to a debt, whether it be legitimate or not, is like admitting that the debt does exist. Once they have account numbers, they own you. Don't be spontaneous, tell them you will call them back before making any decisions, don't give them any personal information, check them out, good luck if this helps.
June 29, 2007 Anything on the Weaver Law Office in San Antonio. Attorneys are William P. Weaver and Vanessa DeLeon Guerrero. Communications from then say that the are attorneys for "Bureaus Investment Group No. 2 LLC" pertaining to an old Chase Bank Card.
The Bureau's Inc - is the most inept
and incapable collection agency to date.
Not only do these "collection agent" wannabe's ignore
written and direct inquiries they with purpose, malice and
intent alter account numbers MULTIPLE times so they may list
erroneous information multiple times on the three major
credit reporting bureaus reports.
This is unethical at BEST and ILLEGAL according the attorney
general. So consumers beware and report these activities to
the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and to the attorney general
of your state as well as to your state and federal
representatives.
What this agency is doing is a FELONY! Do not sit by and
allow them to ruin your credit. And to make matters worse
they DO NOT delete the erroneous information they simply
make a note that is has "since" been resolved.
Just checked my reports from the 3 credit agencies, and see this company added an account to my file in 2001 - after requesting my file!!! Pure fraud, plain and simple! I've never even heard of them before, nor have any outstanding old debts.
The Bureaus is a terrible agency.
They have Re-aged a debt from a creditor, its a blatant
violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. A representative
stated that it would cost an additional $700 to settle the
debt. In fact, Bureaus has added $1500 to the initial debt.
Furthermore, they enlisted the nefarious Utah collection
Attorneys Riddle & Associates. Immediate action is being
taken to remedy the issue. Experian Credit Bureau has been
put on notice
for its role as well.
The Bureaus is indeed a horrible agency. They are ruining my credit although, I've never had a transaction with them and I don't owe them any money. They have unfairly reported inaccurate information to credit agencies. They send you letters with up to 10 attorneys listed on their letterhead. I assume this tactic is to scare the ignorant. However, I am in the process of taking full and all legal recourse, including punitive damages against this agency.
