Quick Analysis
Consumer Comments Below
Not the
stupidest name in the collection industry, but it's a
contender. Perhaps it feeds the ego of Head Debt
Collector: Darlene E. Graham, of Jacksonville, FL, the payday loan capital
of America.
Their website, both comical and tragic states:
“The mission of United Legal Corporation is to produce superior performance
while maximizing profitability.”
Their customer TESTIMONIALS are from payday lenders and other
dubious creditors that include:
AmeriCash Advance, LLC, Dollar Financial Group, EZ Payday Cash, Advance
SmartCard, GW Financial Services.
They further state: “ULC has developed a competitive advantage that
consistently enables us to outperform our competitors."
From my perspective that can ONLY mean one thing, “We break the law more so
we can scare the hell out of debtors and collect more debts.”
Look at the TESTIMONIAL we received from an unsatisfied consumer:
Agency Comments:
“This outfit has been trying to pass themselves off as lawyers/investigators
in an attempt to intimidate me and my family for weeks. Today, I explained
that I would like them to send written documentation so that I could verify
the information and was told they could not do that. They were willing to
discuss with me over the phone again or they could fax it or email it, but
sending it through the postal service was not going to happen. I was then
subjected to another 5 minutes of threats and harassment by the original
caller and the supervisor that I asked to speak with. While letting them
yell, I found the address online and plan to send a cease and desist letter
today. I did call back a few minutes after the last call and spoke with yet
another person who confirmed that they would be sending out the information
that I requested and it should be here in the next week. I'll probably be
getting that about the same time they get the certified mail from me. :)”
Is United Legal Corporation really that good or they just another group of
thugs and losers who prey upon consumers with every illegal debt collection
ploy known to that industry? I vote for the latter.
CAUTION:
I recommend you
NEVER
disclose your bank account or credit card information to a debt collector, as you
risk them emptying your account, or maxing out your
credit card. If you feel they are reporting on your
credit bureau files in error or need assistance in
dealing with them, email the details
w/your
location. Assistance and referral to a consumer
legal specialist may be available.
