November 2008 This company contacted me recently at my business number. The guy was clearly in a call room and introduced himself as an investigator. I explained that I am not allowed to have these types of calls at work and to please not call me at that number to which he began to speak very quickly about a debt etc, etc....I told him "Yeah, whatever how about don't call me ever again?" and hung up for the next 5 minutes I was barraged with call after call from him between my personal cell phone and my business cell. I answered the phone the second time to inform him that I was at work please stop calling and hung up. The third time they called I explained in America we have guidelines about harassment which they had just crossed the line to which this numb head began yelling at the top of his lungs in his native language so I put the phone down and let him go at it. When he discovered no one was on the other end he hung up and played phone toggle between my two numbers in all he called a total of 7 times sometimes twice in a minutes time. Now that I know who these guys are they will be used as an amusement. I will however be filing a complaint with the FTC also.
2007 I have been harassed by a gentlemen (I use that term very lightly. by the way) for this company. I am not the debtor on this account for the record. He calls my home at all hours uses a multitude of alias's like Arnold Williams, John Coleman, Jay Cole and John Smith. He has gone so far as to threat ME with garnishment of my wages. PLEASE its not my debt and as a matter of fact he shouldn't be disclosing this information to me without written consent of the person who's account it actually is. He calls the house and doesn't reply when I answer they phone any where from 2 times in a row up to 6 (his new record as of today). He is also calling my husband at his place of business after repeatedly been told not too as it violates company policy and places his job in jeopardy. While most of their employees may be VERY nice people this one in particular resembles rabid dog.
2007 THEY ARE OUT OF CALIFORNIA BUT THEIR MAIN OFFICE IS IN INDIA AND THEY HAVE THOSE FOLKS CALLING YOU.
2007 I have had so many calls from these people. They call at least 8 times, more or less a day. My caller ID only stores them once because they call so many times. They call on Sundays too.
2007 I had the severe displeasure of dealing with Global Vantedge and their perpetual talking tactics just like Bud describes. These guys were relentless, and would say anything to get me to pay. And even though I was without a job at the time and could barely make ends meet, Global Vantedge promised to give me a great settlement to close my account. Well, I guess if you're halfway around the world, promises don't mean diddley, do they? So after I made my supposed last payment, Global Vantedge promised me they would send me documentation to confirm the settlement (they didn't), as well as call my creditor to ensure this would take place (I gotta think they didn't). Bottom Line: Global Vantedge are lying jerks who will do anything to protect their own miserable hides. Good thing I double-checked with the original creditor and was able to pay off the rest (I had thankfully gotten gainful employment by then!). GLOBAL VANTEDGE SUCKS!
Global Vantage has been calling my
85 year old grand mother saying that my grand father owes
Wal-Mart hundreds and hundreds of dollars. My grand father
has been Dead for 10 years.
My grand parents are very wealthy people and have always
paid cash for everything in there lives. They have never
even had credit not once in there lives. They are very nasty
with my grand mother, and when she asked them for there
phone # they refused to let her have it. They said they have
a fax # but would not let her have that # either. She has
never received anything in the mail from them either.
I looked this outfit up on the internet and found a phone #
888-638-7866 for there headquarters in the United States. IM
going to start calling them on Monday because my grand
mother is not able to handle these things.
