If we could get past the India outsourcing, we'd actually have much good to say about First source Advantage.  They seem to be working to turn their reputation around. 

We've previously reported their crew as  under trained, unprofessional, overzealous debt collectors who use threats of litigation, intimidation, and fear, to collect. But time has passed and paper quality has improved, and we hear better things.  Management is managing, trainers actually have some skill and are at least striving to stay within the bounds of the FDCPA.  Kudos First Source.

However, our concern is not completely smoothed over by kittens and cotton candy - we still take great issue with Firstsource out-sourcing all your personal financial data to their call centers in India.  They may claim their responsibility for what happens to your information ends at the border, but they are the ones handing it over.

CAUTION: I recommend you NEVER disclose your bank account or credit card information to a debt collector, as you risk them emptying your account, or maxing out your credit card. If you feel they are reporting on your credit bureau files in error or need assistance in dealing with them, email  the details w/your location.  Assistance and referral to a consumer legal specialist may be available.
