One of the criteria for making this website is the number of complaints generated by consumers who perceive they've been abused.

FBCS' website used to brag that owners James & Joseph Neary worked their way up from being debt collectors to running the business. I think that explains the many complaints. Apparently Joe and James know how to collect debts. The question is why didn't they pick up any knowledge of the FDCPA on the way up?

CAUTION: I recommend you NEVER disclose your bank account or credit card information to a debt collector, as you risk them emptying your account, or maxing out your credit card. If you feel they are reporting on your credit bureau files in error or need assistance in dealing with them, email  the details w/your location.  Assistance and referral to a consumer legal specialist may be available.
