Another stone in the empire of Capital One and it's affiliate of businesses. They are now in the business of buying debts and the names that appropriately fit them include, but are not limited to: scavenger debt buyer, bottom feeder, pennies for dollars buyers, low stakes gamblers, etc.

As a rule, they pay from 3-7 cents for these accounts, then gamble that you will pay them. Be advised that the cease-comm letter DOES apply because contrary to what you may be told; THEY ARE DEBT COLLECTORS!

CAUTION: I recommend you NEVER disclose your bank account or credit card information to a debt collector, as you risk them emptying your account, or maxing out your credit card. If you feel they are reporting on your credit bureau files in error or need assistance in dealing with them, email  the details w/your location.  Assistance and referral to a consumer legal specialist may be available.
