This organization generates a lot of complaints . Standard lies, threats, intimidation, etc.

CEO Richard Woolwine certainly keeps his attorneys busy defending his employees collection tactics. I bet they have a changing room full of orange jump suits to be worn home at night.

This is yet another agency that gives the entire industry a BAD name. AC&F is why we have federal laws regulating debt collectors, these are REALLY bad people!

Woolwine's goons like to threaten legal actions, like wage garnishment and judgments. The ONLY lawsuits they see are one's filed against Atlantic Credit & Finance for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Atlantic is a stereo-typical BAD collection agency, that lies, cheats, threatens and harasses consumers out of money. They CAN be stopped by simply hanging up on them and using the FREE Cease-Comm letter.

The best way to stop this type of operation is to cut off their lifeblood and deny them any income.

CAUTION: I recommend you NEVER disclose your bank account or credit card information to a debt collector, as you risk them emptying your account, or maxing out your credit card. If you feel they are reporting on your credit bureau files in error or need assistance in dealing with them, email  the details w/your location.  Assistance and referral to a consumer legal specialist may be available.
